On the Edge

It’s no fun traveling on the brink of financial devastation, fearful of any unexpected expense which could push you just over the edge.  Living from paycheck to paycheck keeps us on the edge, never having enough money to pay all of the bills and still have some left over; postdating a check or two; writing checks hoping they won’t clear until you can get your next paycheck deposited; making some checks out but not mailing them until payday; committing next week’s paycheck for this week’s expenses; waking up at four in the morning wondering “How would I pay my bills if I lost my job tomorrow?”
